According to The Ottawa Citizen, an expert panel has decided that everyone in Ontario should get IVF treatments, well anyone 42 years old or younger (it says "women", so I imagine there is a lower boundary, also - maybe 18?). If you follow the link, you won't find a whole lot of specifics about the report, but maybe I'll comment on it (and the issue on the whole) later, as more information comes available.
One positive that seems to have come out of the report is a re-evaluation of adoption procedures. From a casual observer, it does seem like the adoption process is pretty messed up, so reform would likely be beneficial (though, again, it would depend on the specifics of the reform).
